What kind of food does Pangaea on Ocean Ave serve?

California coastal cooking alongside a Korean-inspired East Meets West menu. Guests order everything from filet mignon and local salmon to kalbi short ribs, kimchee fried rice, and kimchee tofu soup.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes, every day. Our breakfast menu includes eggs benedict, omelettes, huevos rancheros, plus an east breakfast section with Spam kimbap, hawaiian plate, and kimchee fried rice. We also pour amazing Bloody Mary's, Breakfast Cocktails and Mimosas!

What are your hours?

We're open daily, 9am to 9pm, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Saturday & Sunday at 8am)

Where are you located?

On Ocean Avenue in between Lincoln and Dolores St, Downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA 93923. A short walk from the shops and galleries!

Do you take reservations?

Yes on Open Table and Yelp. You can also Call directly (831) 624-2569. For parties larger than 8 please email reservations@pangaeaoceanave.com, seven days a week.

Do you have a happy hour?

Yes, Monday through Friday from 3 to 5pm in the bar area. The same weekday afternoons we also offer a three-course Sunset Dinner  (excluding holidays) 

Do you have gluten-free and vegetarian options?

Yes. Many dishes are marked gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan on our menu, including the grilled local artichokes, beet salad, eggplant napoleon, and vegetarian omelette. Our kitchen handles milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish, so please tell your server about any allergies.

Can you host a large group or private event?

Yes. We host birthdays, rehearsal dinners, team dinners, and celebrations with set menus and shared plates. For a private event, we offer dining at our neighbor Carmel Modern Art Gallery. Email reservations@pangaeaoceanave.com to plan yours. Parties of five or more include an 18% gratuity.

Is your restaurant dog-friendly?

Unfortunately no. For a pet-friendly heated patio, visit our sister restaurants: Sur at the Barnyard in Carmel or Nami in Monterey.

Craft cocktails, Mocktails, Craft Beer and Local Wine

Where should I park?

Carmel-by-the-Sea has street parking throughout downtown.
